This song has been untouched for literally over a year and a half. During a rough patch when a close friend abandoned me, I wrote this, back in January of 2009. It was the second song I ever wrote, and I had Ian do guitar to make it the second He & Him track (this being about 4 months before I got my keyboard and 9 before I got my guit-board).
Originally, it was just a verse recording, and the chorus changed accordingly, as the instrumentals and vocals were done separately in separate states. So, for the first time since early 2009, this is the first time He & Him have done anything with it, and we did it in the same room to boot.
I really like this. This is, one of the first songs I ever wrote, “2008 Cubs vs Arnold Schwartzenager” from the He & Him album “Someday we will put a Jew in space”
(Side note- my favorite part of this song is that I managed to make a love metaphor centered around balking in baseball)
